| Model CSI-269 MAR Abrasion Tester provides the means of determining the resistance of plastics to surface marring caused by falling abrasive particles. The unit simply consists of: Vertical tube with a hopper attached at the top.
The hopper is rotated at about 7 rpm and feeds the abrasive compound at a rate of about 200-250 grams per minute.
The sample Holder is located at the bottom baseplate, and holds the sample at 45-degree to the axis of the tube and directly under the tube.
The unit is for table top use, and portable.
